Woodland-Davis Termite & Pest Control, Inc. offers an annual service to control sucking pests such as aphids, white flies, and scale on your trees and roses. These sucking pests not only damage your trees and roses, but they also secrete a sticky substance called honeydew. This is the sticky stuff you see and feel when walking under a tree with a pest problem. If you have ever parked your car under an infected tree you will see the fine clear droplets on your hood, roof, and windshield after a short time.

The most common trees treated in our area are Crepe Myrtle and Hackberry.
For roses and small Crepe Myrtles, we inject a mixture of insecticide and fertilizer into the soil around the plant or tree in January or February. The chemical and fertilizer stick to the soil and is taken up into the plant or tree through the root system. The chemical ultimately ends up in the leaves and when the target insects try to feed on these leaves they die.

For larger established trees, we use the Arborjet tree injection system. Trunk injection is the most effective alternative to soil applications. Arborjet trunk injection equipment injects the chemical directly inside trees. With 10 years of research and development behind it, Arborjet is confident that their methods work.
